I created MÉLARE because I grew up watching the beauty industry tell women who look like me that our skin needed to be fixed — not cared for, fixed. Lighter was sold as better. Brighter was confused with lighter. And too many of us learned to chase a shade that was never ours to begin with.
That experience helped shape MÉLARE. But the mission is bigger than where it started.
Because no matter your skin tone — deep, medium, fair, or anywhere in between — real concerns deserve real care. Hyperpigmentation, dark spots, uneven tone, dullness, and dehydration can affect every complexion, and everyone deserves skincare that addresses those concerns without asking them to become someone else.
